Record publication time and compare a common post age. For example, a team can choose an initial observation window, then revisit the same cohort later. The choice is operational; it is not a universal platform rule.

Keep lifetime views in a separate column so you do not discard long-tail performance. If older posts have no historical snapshots, you cannot reconstruct their early trajectory from today’s total. Start collecting comparable observations from the next batch.
