What is the first useful action after someone clicks your app demo?

Imagine clicking a demo called “Schedule next week’s product posts.” After signup, you land on an empty dashboard asking which of twelve modules you want. The registration worked; the task disappeared. Preserve the intended destination through authentication and show the first concrete step toward the demonstrated workflow.

Check the required setup too. A preserved URL is not enough if the user still cannot recognize what to do next. Measure the handoff from entry task to useful action separately from signup completion. Before building another welcome tour, see whether the product can simply continue the job the visitor already chose.
