“The video is in Drive” is not a publishing handoff

The operator still needs to know which account, which caption and when to post. Put those answers next to the asset instead of scattering them through chat.

Our take

Use one handoff record per post. The video file is one field in that record. The intended account, final caption, approval and publishing window belong there too.

Make the time zone explicit. “Tomorrow at 9” is a surprisingly expensive instruction when the founder, client and operator are in different places.

Before you hand it over, open the file from the receiving side. Does the link work? Is it the final version? Does the caption refer to what’s actually in the video? These checks are boring right up until a client sees the wrong draft.

If approval is still pending, say so. “Ready to review” and “ready to publish” should not be the same status.
