Choose whether your TikTok agency sells creative production, organic account management or paid advertising. Start with one niche, a small paid pilot, explicit publishing responsibilities and a reporting method. Price the full workload, then add managed account distribution when the client needs distinct audiences or markets.
Part of Vincent Tellenne’s agency-building series, adapted from his original white-label TokPortal essay. Worked budgets and sample offers below are illustrations, not customer results.
You do not need to promise that you can make any business go viral to start a TikTok agency. You need to solve a problem a business is willing to pay someone to own.
That might be turning a hotel’s footage into a useful weekly series. It might be giving an app team a steady supply of product demonstrations. It might be managing a label’s authorized release content across a set of clearly positioned accounts.
Pick one of those jobs. Learn the buyer’s constraints. Then build a service that still makes sense in a month when no post breaks out.

Choose between creative, organic management and ads
Creative production delivers videos. Organic management includes the editorial calendar, account operation, publishing, moderation if agreed, and learning from results. Paid advertising adds media buying, budget management and ad measurement. Clients may want all three, but they involve different work and permissions.
If you have never managed paid campaigns, do not hide that gap inside a “full-service” retainer. Start with the part you can deliver or partner with someone qualified for the other work. Separate media spend from your service fee so the client can understand the economics.
For organic work, avoid selling a fixed number of views as if it were a delivery count. You can commit to twelve approved videos, an agreed publishing process and a reporting date. Reach and sales depend on factors beyond the number of uploads.
A real account to study: Ryanair’s repeatable voice
Open @ryanair. The public profile groups travel inspiration and humor into playlists and references country-specific accounts in its bio. Its posts have a recognizable voice rather than reading like unrelated corporate announcements.
Compare the pinned “enjoy the view” stitch with the Dakhla destination post. They give you two editorial jobs to examine: responding to a travel situation and introducing a destination. Watch the originals before deciding what, if anything, fits your client.
Your takeaway should not be “every brand should roast its customers.” A hotel, software product or music label has its own relationship with its audience. Identify a voice the client can sustain and an approval process that lets it sound like a person. The screenshots show public content, not evidence that a specific format caused bookings.
Choose a niche with enough real material to work with
Hospitality can supply rooms, neighborhoods, food and guest questions. Gaming can supply mechanics, challenges and updates. Music can supply authorized performances, artist context and release stories. Apps can supply real screen demonstrations. Each gives you more to work with than an empty request for “viral content.”
Choose the niche where you can get both assets and buyer access. Before agreeing to a monthly output count, inspect the footage. A folder of beautiful horizontal shots may still lack the exact room detail or product interaction your scripts require.
For a hotel, research the questions people ask before booking: room layout, distance to a station, noise, breakfast, family setup or late arrival. Build a content series around the answers the property can actually demonstrate. Showing a practical answer can be more useful than another generic pool montage.
Sell a four-week TikTok pilot with a clear scope
An illustrative hotel pilot could include a content audit, one audience brief, twelve original edits, one managed TikTok account, a weekly approval slot and a final report. The client supplies authorized footage and confirms availability, prices and property facts. On-site filming, paid ads and round-the-clock comment handling are separate services.
Give each week a purpose. Week one establishes the account and answers the most common booking questions. Week two tests alternative openings on a different set of useful videos. Week three develops the formats that attract relevant questions. Week four reviews the work and proposes the next editorial plan.
Do not call two posts a controlled experiment. Organic distribution is noisy, and a different subject can affect results more than the opening. Keep a record of the account, format, post age and any paid support. Treat the first month as structured learning with a delivery commitment.
Copy a TikTok agency pilot scope
Client and niche: Business destination: booking / app / store / other Audience and three recurring questions: Account owner and operator: Twelve distinct content briefs: Authorized footage and music: One approver and weekly deadline: Publishing and moderation responsibilities: Organic service fee and any separate ad budget: Tracked links and available conversion data: Review date, renewal decision and exit process:
Connect content to a destination that can convert
For a hotel campaign, a view is not a booking. Check that the relevant room or offer is available at the destination. Where clickable links and analytics are available, use consistent campaign tags and agree how bookings will be reported. Keep direct platform measures separate from website and reservation data.
TikTok’s Address Hotels + Resorts case study describes a paid travel campaign combining property catalogs, creative and conversion infrastructure. That is a useful reminder that the destination and measurement are part of the marketing system. It is not an organic benchmark for a new agency, and the reported performance should not become your sales promise.
If you cannot attribute a booking to an individual post, do not invent that connection. Report what you can observe: delivered posts, available viewing data, relevant inquiries, tagged visits and separately recorded business outcomes.
Price the account operation, not just the editing
The retainer must cover research, production, review, publishing, support and reporting. If your client expects three meetings a week, price those hours. If footage arrives late and requires rescue editing, record that cost before renewing the same scope.
Use a setup line for the initial research and account configuration when appropriate. Separate third-party operating costs from your creative and management work internally, even if the client buys a single package. You need to know which part of the business is consuming the margin.
The calculator uses an example monthly price, not a suggested industry rate. Replace its numbers with your own costs and current supplier quotes. Model an ordinary month and a difficult month. A service that only works when every draft is approved first time is not ready to scale.

- Production: $540.00
- Account operations: $160.00
- Your time: $280.00

Keep your offer draft

When white-label TikTok distribution makes sense
If a client needs new purpose-built accounts for distinct audiences or markets, you can build the service around Account-Generated Distribution (AGD). Your agency owns the audience strategy and content quality. TokPortal handles the managed account and publishing operations you order, behind your client-facing offer.
For example, an authorized music campaign might have one account focused on a genre’s new releases and another on production breakdowns. Those are different editorial promises. The second account is justified by its content and audience, not by a belief that more profiles automatically produce more sales.
Confirm the countries, supported platforms, ongoing account costs and handover process before quoting. Managed service does not automatically mean password delivery or unlimited support. Explain what the client receives during the engagement and what happens if they leave.
Get clients by showing the next useful video
Pick a short list of businesses in the niche and review their current offers. Prepare one specific idea for each. A relevant proposal might say: “Your room page lists family options, but I couldn’t find a video showing how the beds are arranged. We could turn your existing footage into a three-part series answering the questions families ask before booking.”
That is a starting conversation, not a script to blast at thousands of addresses. Use the actual detail you found and respect the recipient’s communication preferences. On the call, ask about the asset pipeline and approval owner before offering a large package.
After a successful pilot, request permission to share a small case study with the client’s actual scope and measured results. Show the work, the limitations and the next decision. That proof is much more persuasive than calling yourself the number-one viral growth agency.
Your first operational milestone
Before adding a second client, make sure the first can tell what is waiting for approval, what is scheduled and what is actually live. Maintain the final asset versions and published URLs. Have a named person who handles a rejected post or a requested correction.
Then ask whether the client would pay for another month of the service as delivered. If the answer is yes and the economics work, you have something to build on. More accounts, more tools and a bigger agency can come after that.
