Quick answer

TokPortal can automatically hide new comments matching an enabled keyword rule on eligible Instagram and TikTok accounts. Add exceptions, choose literal matching, and review moderation history. Old comments are not scanned automatically; manual hide, delete and pin controls depend on the platform’s capabilities.

A busy comment section needs clear boundaries without removing useful discussion. Keyword moderation gives your team a repeatable way to handle specific unwanted terms, while the Inbox keeps the surrounding post and conversation available for review.

TokPortal separates moderation rules from message automations. A hide rule controls comment visibility. An Instagram comment-to-DM rule sends a private message. A human Seeding task asks an operator to perform paid comment work. Choose the workflow that matches your intent rather than treating all three as one automation.

Choose narrow keywords and useful exceptions

Open the account’s Inbox and configure keyword moderation from Comments. Add the words or phrases you want to match, select the available whole-word or contains behavior, and define exceptions before enabling the rule.

Whole-word matching is useful when a short term also appears inside unrelated words. Contains matching can cover a longer phrase or repeated pattern. Neither option understands every nuance of a conversation. Do not describe literal keyword rules as AI sentiment analysis or a guarantee that all spam will disappear.

Use an exception when the same vocabulary occurs in a legitimate support question. Review early results and refine the terms as you learn which comments they actually match. A short rule list is easier for a team to understand and maintain than an unexplained collection of hundreds of words.

What happens after you enable moderation?

The enabled rule applies to matching new comments received after activation. TokPortal verifies the current connection, account ownership, rule version, comment text and hide capability before acting. A comment edited so it no longer matches should not be hidden by an outdated trigger.

This is not a historical cleanup tool. Turning on a filter does not automatically hide every old comment on the account. For existing discussion, use the actions available in the Inbox and review the individual comment. A comment already hidden can be recorded as such without sending another hide request.

Hide, delete, pin and replies are separate actions

Hiding changes visibility where the platform supports it. Deleting is permanent and is only offered when the provider reports that deletion is available for that exact comment. Pinning and unpinning depend on the platform and the comment. The interface should only offer the actions currently permitted.

These controls operate on comments received on the managed account’s own posts. They do not promise arbitrary API commenting on someone else’s content. Use the separate Seeding workflow for supported human comment tasks, with the intended account and task price reviewed before ordering.

Delays, unavailable comments and safe retries

Platform rate limits can delay a rule. TokPortal retains the cooldown and lets other available accounts progress. It does not treat a temporary refusal as evidence that an account was banned. On busy posts, verification can also require several paginated reads.

A comment missing from a provider response is not proof that it was deleted. It can be unavailable, already moderated or omitted from a read. The history records the verification result instead of claiming that a hide succeeded without evidence. A request with an uncertain external-write result should not be blindly resent.

Use the history to keep your rules accountable

Check matched jobs and their final state after enabling or editing a rule. Distinguish a successful hide, an already-hidden comment, a delayed read and a failed verification. If you need support, share the operation reference and approximate time with authorized support, rather than posting private comment data publicly.

The API and MCP documentation describes settings, versions, history and result webhooks. Keep webhook processing idempotent. Current owner access, account connection and Coverage still apply to an integration, just as they do in the UI.

Keep the conversation going

Open a connected managed account and choose Inbox. Start with one useful rule and check its history before expanding.
