TokPortal is programmable social-media distribution infrastructure; with n8n, it lets teams trigger TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube posts from sheets, AI video generators, CRMs, or webhooks. The workflow sends approved video assets to TokPortal’s API, then real human operators publish inside native apps on real devices.
TokPortal + n8n is a practical way to turn approved videos into scheduled, multi-platform distribution jobs. n8n handles the trigger, enrichment, branching, and error routing; TokPortal handles the native publishing layer across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube through real physical devices and local operators.
This page is for developers, technical marketers, AI video tool builders, and agencies that already have content production solved but need a programmable post-generation distribution layer. If you want the base connector guide, start with TokPortal’s n8n automation guide. If you are designing the API layer directly, keep TokPortal Developer Docs open while you build.

How to connect TokPortal to n8n
Connect TokPortal to n8n with an HTTP Request node, an API key from TokPortal, and a clean content payload containing the video URL, platform targets, caption, account selection, country, and scheduling rules. n8n does not need to publish inside TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube itself; it creates the distribution job and sends it to TokPortal’s API.
The simplest version is: trigger from Google Sheets, Airtable, your CMS, or an AI video generator; validate the row; send a POST request to TokPortal; then listen for status changes through a TokPortal webhook. For deeper examples, use the TokPortal API + n8n distribution pipeline and the TokPortal REST API developer guide.
Create a TokPortal API key
Open your TokPortal workspace, create an API key, and store it in n8n credentials or an encrypted environment variable. Do not paste long-lived keys into workflow notes.
Add an n8n trigger
Use a Schedule Trigger, Webhook Trigger, Google Sheets Trigger, Airtable Trigger, or AI tool export trigger depending on where approved videos enter your workflow.
Normalize the content payload
Map every video into a consistent structure: video_url, caption, platforms, target_country, account_group, publish_window, sound instructions, and campaign ID.
Send the job to TokPortal
Use the n8n HTTP Request node to POST the payload to TokPortal. Route TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts through the same workflow when the creative is approved for each platform.
Listen for webhook updates
Create an n8n Webhook node to receive status events such as job accepted, posting in progress, published, failed validation, or needs review.
Write results back to your source of truth
Update Airtable, Google Sheets, a CRM, Slack, or your internal dashboard with the final post URL, platform, account, country, timestamp, and campaign ID.
n8n flow to post videos to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
A production n8n flow for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts should separate content readiness from distribution execution. The workflow should not send every exported file immediately. It should first check that the video has passed brand approval, has the right aspect ratio, has a caption, has platform permissions, and is assigned to an account group.
The core flow is: trigger → validate → enrich → branch by platform → create TokPortal job → wait for webhook → update reporting. This is the same pattern agencies use when one client campaign has multiple hooks, edits, countries, and creator-style variations. For spreadsheet-driven operations, see TokPortal + Google Sheets campaign automation. For Airtable-based campaign control, see the Airtable TikTok campaign manager setup.
- Trigger from a new approved video row, CMS publish event, AI generator export, or webhook
- Validate video URL, caption, campaign ID, target country, and platform targets before posting
- Branch TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts into platform-specific payloads
- Use TokPortal account groups to route posts across multiple accounts and countries
- Receive TokPortal webhook events and write final post URLs back to your reporting table
- Send Slack or email alerts only when a job needs human review
Webhook-based TikTok posting with n8n
Webhook-based posting is the right architecture when the source system already knows when a video is ready. Instead of polling a sheet every five minutes, your AI video tool, DAM, CMS, approval system, or internal app sends a webhook to n8n the moment a video is approved. n8n then validates the payload and creates a TokPortal posting job.
The return path matters just as much. TokPortal webhooks let your workflow react to posting status changes without manual checking. A clean implementation uses one webhook endpoint for incoming content and a second webhook endpoint for TokPortal status events. For event names and implementation patterns, use the TokPortal webhook events reference and the real-time webhook notifications guide.
Automate AI video distribution using n8n
AI video generation creates a new bottleneck: distribution. A team can generate 100 product clips, UGC-style variants, or localized hooks in a day, but those videos still need captions, routing, account selection, country targeting, and publishing. n8n is the orchestration layer; TokPortal is the distribution layer.
A strong AI distribution workflow adds one approval gate between generation and publishing. For example: Runway, Captions, Creatify, Sora, Veo, or Kling exports a video; n8n stores the asset URL; a marketer approves the row; n8n creates TokPortal jobs for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts; TokPortal posts natively through real devices. For AI-agent controlled workflows, compare this with TokPortal’s MCP server for AI agents. For generator-specific examples, see Runway videos to TikTok automatic posting and Captions AI clips to TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
Original workflow rule: separate SEO noise from posting demand
Multi-account posting workflow in n8n
A multi-account n8n workflow should assign content by campaign, country, platform, niche, and account group. Do not treat 50 accounts as one list. Treat them as inventory with rules: which accounts can post this niche, which countries should receive the creative, which platforms are approved, and how many variations should run per day.
A practical account router in n8n uses an IF node or Switch node to split by country and platform, then sends the job to the matching TokPortal account group. For example, a gaming app launch could route English clips to US, UK, Canada, and Australia accounts, while localized clips go to France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Japan, or Mexico. TokPortal’s coverage includes the USA, UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Switzerland.

30-minute implementation checklist
Use this checklist to ship a working prototype before you add advanced routing. In the first 30 minutes, your goal is not a perfect campaign machine. Your goal is one approved video moving from a source system into TokPortal, then one webhook status update returning to n8n.
- Minute 0–5: create or retrieve your TokPortal API key and define the first account group.
- Minute 5–10: create the n8n trigger from a sheet, webhook, Airtable table, or internal app.
- Minute 10–15: map the minimum payload: video URL, caption, platform, account group, country, campaign ID, and publish window.
- Minute 15–20: send a test POST request to TokPortal from the n8n HTTP Request node.
- Minute 20–25: create the n8n Webhook node that receives TokPortal status events.
- Minute 25–30: write the status, final URL, and timestamp back to your campaign table.
After the prototype works, add error handling, platform-specific captions, country routing, account warming rules, Slack alerts, and reporting. For production reliability, pair this page with TokPortal’s TikTok API error-handling guide and API rate-limit optimization best practices.
